Our inaugural Health Careers Week launched in April, 2022, and included a series of live-via-Zoom industry chats you can find in the Session Recordings section below. We encourage students, educators, parents, and career-seeking adults to explore the digital business directory, career pathway pages and industry videos to learn more about employers in our region – which extend beyond hospitals and home care to include physical therapy, the design and production of orthotics, healthcare IT, and more. There are a wide variety of health-related education and career opportunities available within the South Bend region!
Did you know that Ivy Tech graduates the highest number of associates-level nurses in the nation? It’s true! We offer a variety of degree options that prepare you for the licensing exams to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or a Registered Nurse (RN).
Students in the Nursing program at Ivy Tech learn to care for real patients in a variety of clinical settings throughout the program including lab simulations, long-term care, hospital, labor and delivery units, pediatric units, emergency department, ICU, surgery and mental health facilities.
